Start out on the Flint River just east of Flint, MI. for a 2-3 hour cruise along this meandering waterway. Once a "Blue Ribbon" trout stream, it still offers stunning scenic beauty, especially in the fall. Surrounded by Genesee county park land, this trip offers user friendly shore landings and chances to stretch your legs along some of its trails that follow the river. Fall colors can be viewed beginning mid-September and usually peaks around the second week of October. This trip is ideal for those blustery fall days, when you will appreciate the shelter the forests and hills provide. This is a great trip anytime of the year for young children, as they may play and explore at various landing points.
